Apprentice Machinist TurbineAero Engines Technics Description: Great opportunity to learn precision machining on Aerospace precision components. You will engage in a range of tasks and training related to CNC and manual machining. To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform the following essential functions, either independently or with reasonable accommodation: Acquire knowledge of departmental procedures, including machine operation, quality standards, and departmental goals. Learn blueprint reading, specifications interpretation, and mathematical concepts applicable to departmental tasks. Effectively communicate acquired knowledge through written assignments, interviews, and oral reports. Engage in assigned projects, either individual tasks to demonstrate proficiency or departmental projects for skill enhancement. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle Cleanliness and order in workplace, responsible to keep 5S and TPM current. Maintain production on machine, feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines Inspection of own work (Visual and dimensional) with use of hand tools, gages and metrology equipment (comparator, height gages, etc.) Troubleshoot problems that may occur during shift Keep records of approved and defective units or final products Maintain activity record Deburr own part Basic Mathematical calculations First lot runs (development) Competencies Accountability & Dependability: Taking personal responsibility for work quality and timeliness.
